Investment Policy Compliance Process

The development of a sound investment policy statement, with guidelines and objectives, is a most important part of fiduciary responsibility for a non-profit organization. However with all investment policy documents, it should not be considered a static document. It should be an evolving one that reflects the culture and objectives of the organization and as a result should be annually reviewed or after any major life change.

In association with the client, the following aspects of the investment policy guidelines are reviewed on a quarterly and/or as-needed basis—

  • Investment objectives
  • Asset structure and allocation ranges
  • Performance benchmarks
  • Spending policy, if applicable
  • Portfolio rebalancing
